The Chapbook

Rage

  • race & colonization
  • rage

I woke up this morning breathing fireMy hair writhing in the heat like snakesMy anger manifesting by the blazing hot infernoMy apoplectic rage expressing itself by the withering heatThe flames consuming both me and my targetThe conflagration cocooning meCaressing me with light, dancing kissesI felt nothingBut it burned me all the sameAnd yetMy target was unharmedUnconcernedUncaringUnmovedFor how can my rage effect something that isEverywhereAndNowhereAt once?
